Ever wanted to impress a client, friends or even a hot date…

...and so you ordered the second least expensive bottle at the restaurant, not to look too cheap?

How many times have you walked into a grocery store and walked out with the wine that had the most appealing label?

You’re not alone. This is how most people buy wine. But it doesn’t have to be this way.

Our mission is to help make wine more approachable.

 Don't just believe us:
have a look at some of the publications where Sherry's wine writing has been featured.

Wine doesn’t have to be intimidating.

Would you get into a car with keys and a map without having learned how to drive?

That’s the way traditional wine classes operate – and they have it all wrong. They force you to memorize facts like you did in school – grapes, regions, soil types…B-O-R-I-N-G. And this doesn’t provide a shred of help when you’re actually deciding what to buy.

This approach doesn't put YOU in the driver's seat

That’s why we don’t host wine “tastings” or “classes.” Instead of talking at you, we explore wine with you. We create a safe space where there are no dumb questions and no judgment – just good fun with some tasty wines, engaging conversation and a small community of awesome people.

The result is that that you personally will walk away with the ability to make a good choice confidently the next time you're buying a bottle.

What does it mean to 'be wineful?'

With so much competing for our attention in the modern world, more and more we’re all looking for ways to be present, make genuine connections and be more mindful about the choices we make in our lives. Wine is no exception to this.

It’s all about balance.

Balance is something we talk about in the wine industry as being the ultimate criteria for determining wine quality. The ‘best’ wines are balanced, meaning that all of the components that make up a wine work harmoniously together to create a delicious whole.

Yet, the act of drinking wine itself is something we should strive to find balance in, as well. Wine can be part of a healthful lifestyle, if consumed in moderation and, ultimately, appreciated. The more we slow down and think about what we are drinking, really absorb it with all of our senses – see, smell, taste – the more likely we are to incorporate wine as a balanced part of our lives.

So, not only do we help you to develop the confidence to make your own wine choices, but  to do so with appreciation and mindfulness: we enable you to “be wineful.”

"Sherry provided a comfortable environment for our team to learn more about the basics of wine, and we got to clearly see the difference between different styles of white and red wines. We all walked away with more knowledge than we expected to in just an hour! Sherry was really able to make the topic of wine more approachable and I would highly recommend her sessions for anyone looking to feel more confident talking about wine."

"Sherry explains wine in such an easy-to-understand way in a no-pressure environment. I still remember the trick to differentiating older vintages from newer vintages, based on the color of the wine."
